The Lord is my Shepherd = That’s Relationship!

I shall not want = That’s Supply!

He maketh me to lie down in green pastures = That’s  Rest!

He leadeth me beside the still waters = That’s  Refreshment!

He restoreth my soul = That’s Healing!

He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness =  That’s Guidance!

For His name sake = That’s Purpose!

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death = That’s Testing!

I will fear no evil = That’s Protection!

For Thou art with me = That’s Faithfulness!  

Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me = That’s Discipline!

Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies = That’s Hope!  

Thou annointest my head with oil = That’s  Consecration!

My cup runneth over = That’s Abundance!

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life = That’s Blessing!  

And I will dwell in the house of the Lord = That’s Security!

Forever = That’s Eternity!

Face it, the Lord is crazy about you.

What is most valuable, is not what we have in our lives, but  WHO we have in our lives!

‘Do not ask the Lord to Guide your Footsteps if you are not willing to move your Feet’ 

Even though you can’t see Him, Jesus is there for you!

And then I was dying to finish college and start working

Then I was dying to marry and have children

And then I was dying for my children to grow old enough so I can go back to work

But then I was dying to retire

And now I’m dying…

And suddenly I realized

I forgot to live

Please don’t let this happen to you

Appreciate your current situation and enjoy each day

…old friend

To make money we lose our health,

and then to restore our health we lose our money…

We live as if we are never going to die,

and we die as if we never lived…
 

HOW TO STAY YOUNG

1. Throw out nonessential numbers. This includes age, weight and height. Let the doctors worry about them. That is why you pay ‘them’

2. Keep only cheerful friends. The grouches pull you down.

3. Keep learning. Learn more about the computer, crafts, gardening, whatever. Never let the brain idle. ‘An idle mind is the devil’s workshop.’ And the devil’s name is Alzheimer’s.

4. Enjoy the simple things.

5.Laugh often, long and loud. Laugh until you gasp for breath.

6. The tears happen. Endure, grieve, and move on. The only person, who is with us our entire life, is ourselves. Be ALIVE while you are alive.

7. Surround yourself with what you love , whether it’s family, friends, pets, keepsakes, music, plants, hobbies, whatever.

8. Cherish your health: If it is good, preserve it. If it is unstable, improve it. If it is beyond what you can improve, get help.

9. Don’t take guilt trips. Take a trip to the mall, even to the next county; to a foreign country but NOT to where the guilt is.

10.Tell the people you love that you love them, at every opportunity.

And if you don’t send this to at 8 people – who cares?

But do share this with someone. We all need to live life to its fullest each day!!

The paint was faded, the shine was gone…
the grass had grown so high…
still they made their little feet
go see what was inside.

They opened up the squeaky door
and then it came to light…..
This must have been an old church house…
once upon a time.

Dirty, dusty wooden pews…
a pulpit that still stood…
A Bible lay upon it…
though the pages weren’t too good.

An offering plate and songbooks too…
were lying on the floor.
They must have left this old church fast…
the day they closed these doors.

And over in the corner…
a piano was still there.
It must have played a pretty tune…
but I guess nobody cared.

So little Bill looked up at Tommy…
and Tommy looked at Bill…
Why don’t we clean this old church up,
and get these old pews filled?’

They took a rag and wiped the dust…
to try and make things shine…
And then they took the offering plate…
and put in it their last dime.

They took a broom and swept the floor…
and picked up broken glass….
They got it all so nice and neat…
and then they mowed the grass.

They lifted up the old church sign…
and stood it by a tree…
right down by that old dirt road
where everyone could see.

They ran back home, to find Daddy gone
but their Momma was inside…
Just to find her hurt again…
where Daddy had made her cry.

‘Don’t cry Momma, wipe those tears,’
Little Bill and Tommy smiled…
‘Cause! we have a big surprise for you…
just down the road a mile.’

Hand in hand they tugged at her.
until they made her run….
‘What is it Bill, Oh Tommy,
just what have you two kids done?’

And then they came upon the house…
once hidden by the weeds…
and there it stood a country church…
just like it used to be.

‘But what is it, Mother? What’s with your tears?
We thought this would bring you joy.’
‘Yes, but hush kids now and listen close…
my two sweet precious boys.’

They both got quiet and stood real still…
for the words they heard so true…
was Daddy praying in the church…
with his head bowed on the pew.

‘Forgive me Lord! Forgive me Lord!
Though I’ m not worthy of Your love…
shine down on this sinner man.
Sweet Salvation from above.’

‘For I’ve been out in the world, You know..
Living my life all wrong…
until I came upon this church;
the place where I belong.’

‘I never noticed it before…
all those times I passed it up…
I guess I wasn’t looking, Lord…
or maybe I was drunk.’

‘Bless oh Lord, yes, bless oh Lord…
the one who made me see…
this little church that used to hide…
behind all those tall weeds.’

And then he raised his head and stood…
with his hands high in the air…
to find two dirty, tear-faced boys…
with Momma standing there.

They ran up to him, hugged him tight…
as their tears fell on the floor.
‘Don’t worry kids, I’m not the Dad,
the one you’ve known before.’

Things are different for us now…
so keep on those pretty smiles…
and let’s go gather people in…
to walk down these church aisles.’

Then Bill looked up at Tommy…
and Tommy looked at Bill…
‘Come on brother, let’s get to work…
to get these old pews filled.’

‘For we need no special blessing…
for cleaning up this church…
’cause, God gave us back our Daddy…
and that’s more than gold is worth.’

Sunday morning, pews all filled
and smiles on every face…
Especially two little country boys…
the ones who found this place.

Though it was hid back in the weeds….
and so far out of sight…
Nothing’s ever hard to find
if you’re walking toward God’s light.

What if there was a way to know if your spouse was prone to cheating? Infidelity expert Ruth Houston says there is. Houston has been studying the topic of infidelity for years, since she had her own personal experience with infidelity. She was transcribing tapes for a magazine article when she discovered a not-so-pleasant surprise. Her recording equipment had accidentally taped her husband in graphic conversations with another woman.

Houston discovered he had been having not just one affair but several with women in the apartment complex where they lived. Though the relationship ended in divorce, she decided to use her experience to help others, penning a book called, “Is He Cheating on You? 829 Telltale Signs.”

Though she’s been remarried for eight years, to a man whose first wife cheated on him, she’s still studying the topic on marital infidelity. She has interviewed thousands of cheaters, victims, divorce attorneys, marriage counselors and others in her quest to understand the topic. “Some things kept cropping up over and over again in regard to men who did the cheating,” she said.

Men, she said, cheat because they have the opportunity, they want sex or they use it as a way to feel important. Women under the age of 25 often have similar reasons. Women beyond that age usually have affairs because there’s something wrong in their relationship, and they don’t know how to fix it.

Her most recent focus: seven ways you can tell if your spouse is prone to cheating. “There are certain life experiences, along with personality traits and past history that can tell you whether the man is a potential cheater,” she said.

1. Does your spouse thrive on adventure?

“Some men enjoy the suspense and the deception that goes along with an affair. If he is the type of person who enjoys high-risk sports, he probably has the potential to be a cheater,” she said.

2. Did your spouse have a great deal of sex before marriage?

“If he had multiple relationships and lots of sex before marriage, he probably will have a difficult time confining his attention to one person,” she said.

3. Does your spouse have a lot of friends of the opposite sex?

“It’s a common starting place for affairs. Before you know it, the friendship has morphed into a friendship with benefits,” she said.

4. Does your spouse have friends of the same sex that cheat on their spouses?

“Peer pressure is very much alive and well in adulthood. It’s only going to be a matter of time before he’s doing the same thing,” she said.

5. Did your spouse have a parent who cheated?

“If he had a father who cheated and a mother who did nothing about it, he’ll expect the same from you. If you complain about it, he can’t understand what the problem is, because that is what happened in his family circle,” she said.

6. Did your spouse cheat in previous relationships?

“If he cheated in previous relationships and there were no negative consequences, he’ll probably do it again,” she said. Consequences can include: sexually transmitted diseases, loss of a spouse, financial costs through divorce and more. “Cheaters become repeaters if they’ve never suffered any negative consequences because of their actions,” she added. “Why would he stop cheating?”

7. Does your spouse feel like infidelity is no big deal?

“If this is true, he probably is a potential cheater,” she said.

You’re probably wondering what I’m talking about, huh? The manager that I have, has been in my department for about a year (he transferred from another department, within the store); and he’s been on my case from day one. Before he even knew me for himself, he had prejudged and already made up in his mind how things were going to go down. I don’ t know if he was told by other management to come and fix issues in our entire group of areas or what. There’s problems in other areas that still are not fixed, so his initial thought process, has failed him tremendously. Nothing has even chaanged. Hey, maybe they are trying to weed him out, it was just a thought. A happy thought at that.

So anyway back to me, from the first day he came, he has picked and picked and nit-picked at me. In the beginning, it was that I wasn’t doing things right, not getting enough credits, and not getting enough sales. I’m on the end of, everybody is their own person and I am not making them do anything that they don’t want to do. I have been on the other side pressured into doing things that I didn’t want to do and it did nothing but land me in trouble.

Next, he goes on to nit-pick at my name tag and before I knew it I was way too sociable. He’s yelled with me on the floor on more than one occasion and then when I say something to another manager, then and only then does he come to apologize. The apologyies have gotten old and are no longer valid. He’s written me up over a nametag twice in two days, causing me to walk out. When I ask him to fix my schedule, he half does it, and refuses to help me out better with it. He always has an excuse for everything, whenever he’s confronted about something. He’s always right, no matter the circumstance. Like a child, whatever you tell him goes in one ear and out the other. Although, he tells others that he likes me, he sure has a funny way of showing it.

I can’t put my finger on why he’s always on my case. Is it because I am a child og God and walk with Christ. Or, is it, because of the relationship that I have with my former manager that he just can’t get along with. From what I’ve heard, no one has got to be in my position with her, other than me. If my former manager is there I will call her over him, anyday. Well, okay maybe he’s jealous. Jealously is rooted in evil, is nothing but the devil.

The matter at hand is what am I not getting? I feel like I am missing a piece of the puzzle. I just don’t know what it is exactly. What I do know, is that it is him and not me, because he is the only change that has come to my department specifically.

Throughout all of this I am keeping the faith that God will handle this because he is messing with His child. Patience truly is a virtue. But, I am suppose to work as if everything depends on me, and pray as if everything depends on God. What’s my work within this test. I want to pass…HELP!!!
